What is Sidila.com?

Sidila.com is a marketplace that enables you to trade items you have, but don't use or want, for items you really need. You may also buy and sell items as you would on any other web site. When you list items for trade, Sidila automatically searches the database for members looking for the items you have for trade, and who have the items you want. When they are found, you are notified by email, and you are given a trade reference number. Using the trade reference number, you may find listings of the items you will potentially receive in return for the items you have for trade. You may then:

(1) Email your trading partner with questions about the items
(2) Reject the trade because it doesn't fit your needs
(3) Accept and complete the trade

How much does it cost to join Sidila.com?

It costs nothing to join Sidila.com. Signing up with Sidila.com is free. And it is free to browse the database to see the items for sale or trade. Who sets the price for my goods or services?

You set the prices for your goods and services. For best results, you should always set your prices in line with fair market prices.

How do I price an item for sale?

It is customary when pricing items, to create a sliding scale based on the condition of the item. For example, price items that are in perfect condition, 70 percent of their cost when new, while for items that are still saleable but past their prime, price them at 30 percent of their new cost. Be aware that some products retain their value better than others. Desktop computers, for example, have very poor resale value because of rapidly changing technology, while LCD monitors hold their value because technological advances aren't as quick or dramatic. Ultimately, the proper price for your items is the price that others are willing to pay for them. Normally you will get top dollar for items that are in excellent condition and in great demand.

How do I know an item is fairly priced?

Carefully research item prices before engaging in trading. You should be able to differentiate between a good price for an item, and a great one. More importantly, you should be able to spot a poor deal, and avoid it. However, be aware that negotiating is part of the trade process. If you believe the price of an item is a bit high, you may contact the trader by email (using their mailbox number) and negotiate a lower price.

How do I buy items on Sidila.com?

  • To buy items, go to www.Sidila.com and Sign in. If you are new to Sidila.com, click on the Register link to create a new account. You will be asked to enter information such as your name, gender, billing address and shipping address.
  • Find and click on the desired category from the list of categories on the left side of the screen. A menu of items is now displayed.
  • Click on the name of the item you wish to purchase. If there's an inventory available for sale, the listings will now be displayed (if none is available, you will be notified).
  • Look at each listing to see which appeals to you. To see the details (and all pictures) for a listing, click the title.
  • If you have questions about the item, you may communicate with the seller/trader by email to get answers.


  • To email a seller/trader:
        (a) Note the mailbox number of the seller/trader (it is next to their feedback rating)
        (b) Click the My Trades tab and select the Email my trading partner option.
        (c) Enter the mailbox number, a subject and your questions and click the Send button.

  • When you are ready to make a purchase, click the Buy Me button to begin the checkout process.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions and enter your credit card information (We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards) when prompted, and complete the checkout proecess. How do I sell items on Sidila.com?

Note: before listing your items for sale, make sure you have all the information and photos of the items on your computer, ready to go.

Go to www.Sidila.com and Sign in. If you are new to Sidila.com, click on the Register link to create a new account. You will be asked to enter information such as your name, gender, billing address and shipping address.

  • Click on the My Listings tab and select the List My Items For Trade/Sale option. A list of categories will be displayed.
  • Click on the appropriate category from the list. A menu of items is now displayed.
  • Click on the name of the item you wish to list for sale. A form is now displayed for you to fill in with information describing the item you have for sale. If you wish to only sell the item, ensure that you select the FOR SALE ONLY option.
  • Finish filling in the displayed form and click the Submit button. You will then be asked to upload your photos of the item. BE SURE TO UPLOAD ALL THE PHOTOS OF THE ITEM YOU WANT DISPLAYED. How do I trade items on Sidila.com?

List your items for trade

  • Click on the My Listings tab and select the List My Items For Trade/Sale option. A list of categories will be displayed.
  • Click on the appropriate category from the list. A menu of items is now displayed.
  • Click on the name of the item you wish to list for trade. A form is now displayed for you to fill in with information describing the item you have for trade. If you only wish to trade the item, ensure that you select the FOR TRADE ONLY option. To either sell or trade it, select the FOR TRADE OR SALE option.
  • Finish filling in the displayed form and click the Submit button. You will then be asked to upload your photos of the item. BE SURE TO UPLOAD ALL THE PHOTOS OF THE ITEM YOU WANT DISPLAYED.   • List the items you would like to receive

  • Click on the My Listings tab and select the Create My Wish List option. A list of categories will be displayed.
  • Click on the appropriate category from the list. A menu of items is now displayed.
  • Click on the name of the item you want to add to your wish list. A form is now displayed for you to fill in with information describing the item.
  • Finish filling in the displayed form and click the Submit button.


  • Automatic Matches

    After listing your items for trade, Sidila will automatically search the database to locate members who are looking for the items you have for trade and who have items that you want to receive. When they are found, you are notified by email, and given a trade reference number. Using the trade reference number, you may find listings of the items you will potentially receive in return for your trade items. You may then:

    (1) Email your trading partner with questions about the items
    (2) Reject the trade because it doesn't fit your needs
    (3) Accept and complete the trade

    Can I sell an item that is not in perfect working condition?

    Yes, as long as you choose the condition code that accurately describes the item's condition and, in the description field, explain in detail all that is wrong with the item. Our Terms of Use Policy prohibits traders from falsely representing the condition of an item. Anyone found in violation of our policies will lose the right to buy, sell or trade items on our web site. Please see our Trading Rules for more information.

    What's the maximum number of items I can list for trade?

    There is no limit to the number of items you may list for sale or trade. However, remember there's a fee for each listing you enter, and the more active listings you have, the more time it will take to monitor the status of your trades.

    When are fees charged?

    There are fees for some services on Sidila.com while others are free. For example, there is NO FEE for listing an item for sale when all the proceeds go to charity. Also, all listings with a regular priority are free, while there's a fee for listings with a medium or top priority.
