How Feedback Works
Each time a transaction is completed (buy, sell or trade), members are asked to leave a Quick Feedback Rating to express how satisfied they were with the transaction. The Quick Feedback Rating they leave for each other can be positive, mixed or negative, and may include a short comment as well.
In addition to a Quick Feedback Rating, buyers can leave a Detailed Feedback Rating for sellers as well. Detailed Feedback Ratings allow a buyer to rate aspects of a sale transaction such as item price fairness, shipping and handling costs, shipping speed and customer service. While Quick Feedback Ratings affect a seller's Feedback Score, Detailed Feedback Ratings do not, so buyers should leave one of each for a seller.
Sellers are also encouraged to leave Quick Feedback Ratings for buyers as well. Sellers may leave positive, mixed or negative Quick Feedback Ratings for buyers.
Quick Feedback Ratings are used to determine each member's feedback score. Member's receive:
- 1 point added to their total positive ratings, for each positive rating they receive
- 0 points for each mixed rating they receive
- 1 point added to their total negative ratings, for each negative rating they receive
Example
John, at Mailbox 1501, has 510 positive ratings
He also has 12 negative ratings
His total accumulated feedback score is therefore 522 (postitive + negative ratings)
His percentage is 98% positive (positive score divided by total score and rounded).
His feedback score will be listed as:
